Once called “Hanyang” during the Joseon Dynasty times, ‘Seoul’ is a name that means “capital” in Korean. Throughout its rich history, this lively city has seen its fair share of ups and downs, from invasions to challenges that tested its spirit. Yet Seoul continually rejuvenates itself, rising above all odds. When the 20th century rolled in, with all its fast-paced modern changes, the city started to feel a gap between its cherished traditions and the new world.
